What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at Mignola Farms Inc.?
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking laborer to assist on our bark blower truck and to assist with daily operations at our nursery and landscape supply yard. This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and being on your feet for most of the day. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and comfortable performing physical labor as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in operating and supporting a bark blowing truck
- Load, unload, and move plants, soil, bark, and other landscape materials
- Help maintain organization and cleanliness of the trucks, yard, and work areas
- Operate equipment such as tractors and loaders (training available if needed)
- Assist customers with loading materials and providing basic product information
- Perform general labor tasks to support day-to-day nursery operations
Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to learn equipment operation (tractor/loader experience is a plus)
- Valid driver’s license preferred
