Process Safety Engineer

Migna Safety Solutions is recruiting a Process Safety Engineer for a confidential client, a chemical manufacturer in northwest Georgia. This is a direct-hire position with our client; we are the recruiting firm managing the search.

The opportunity:

• $110,000–$120,000 base salary plus bonus
• Monday–Friday, 8–5 schedule with limited travel
• Mid-size plant at a company growing through acquisitions
• Growth position with room to expand into broader EHS responsibility

What you’ll do:

• Support and help lead the site’s Process Safety Management program under OSHA 1910.119
• Participate in and help facilitate PHAs/HAZOPs, and track recommendations to closure
• Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process and support Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
• Support PSM audits, incident investigations, and process safety information upkeep
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering to keep the plant running safely

Requirements:

• Technical degree (engineering, safety, environmental science, chemistry, or related)
• At least 1 year of hands-on process safety experience in a chemical plant or chemical manufacturing facility
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 (Process Safety Management): PHAs/HAZOPs, MOC, PSSR, PSM audits, or process-related incident investigations
• U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available)
• Located within commuting distance of Dalton, GA, or willing to relocate
