Midwest Transit Equipment is seeking an Outside Parts Sales Specialist for the state of Michigan. This person is responsible for building a lasting relationship with our customers while being able to sell with integrity and excellence.

Essential Functions:
- Responding to customer parts or information requests quickly
- Identify Customer needs and opportunities that will produce additional sales
- Through preparation form and presentation of, sales proposals
- Presentation of new items or services during each visit
- Communicating with customers regarding parts
- Recording parts information carefully and identifying parts using most efficient method
- Determining parts availability, parts price information and documentation
- Providing parts to customer from stock, procuring locally or creating a parts order as directed
- Accurate and timely maintenance of activity and sales reports
- Monitoring the status of customer parts orders
- Periodic delivery of light parts when logistically advantageous or to address customer needs
- Contentious customer service including problem identification and concern resolution
- 2-3 years automotive or truck parts sales
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Effective team member

- Ability to build the team with helpfulness and interaction in an professional manner
- A commitment to customer satisfaction by addressing potential issues proactively
- Basic computer skills and literacy required
- Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive or truck mechanics
- Parts department experience, particularly in a truck/auto dealership or truck aftermarket
- The knowledge and ability to apply basic mathematics
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Computer Proficiency (Email, Microsoft Word & Excel, CRM)

Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
