Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting tobacco products, accessories, and related merchandise
• Conduct engaging product demonstrations to showcase new items and enhance customer interest
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract attention and promote featured products
• Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring inventory levels are maintained and products are easily accessible
• Upsell complementary items to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely
• Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment to ensure product availability

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or specialty shop environment
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as change-making and inventory counts
• Knowledge of customer service best practices, including phone etiquette and conflict resolution skills
