This is a PRN position with rotating hours dependent on departmental needs. 8 hours per month are required. We are looking for a skilled Radiology Technologist who’s reliable, has strong interpersonal skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment with a focus on both orthopedic and neurosurgery.

Responsibilities:
· Organize and set up all x-ray equipment for procedures.
· Complete and record radiation time with the surgical procedure performed. Maintain complete and accurate records.
· Provide the highest quality examination with the diagnostic equipment available. Initiate the computer into its proper protocol with ALARA technique in mind for quality care.
· Perform any necessary clerical work related to obtaining previous reports, images, etc.
· Monitor the condition of any patient within the department and assist Radiologist, physicians or nurses in performing needed medical attention.
· Print requested images for patients and physicians.
· Assist with transfer of patients, as necessary.
Requirements:
· High School graduate and completion from a School of Radiologic Technology.
· ARRT and a current BLS required
· One year of Radiology experience is preferred.
· Current member of the ASRT preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Understand anatomy and operative procedures and utilize this knowledge in meeting the surgeon’s needs.
· Knowledgeable in the care, handling and usage of x-ray equipment and supplies.
· Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skills of the special needs for various age groups including infants, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
· Know the basic principles to perform BLS and is aware of the policy and procedures in an emergency or cardiac arrest situation within the unit.
