Do you have a passion for providing quality patient care? We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Operating Room to provide exceptional care to patients throughout their surgical experience.
This is a Full-Time position working 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. An ideal candidate would bring prior operating room experience and be comfortable working as part of a collaborative surgical team. We are looking for a skilled RN who’s reliable, has strong interpersonal skills, and thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment with an ortho/neuro focus.
Pay starts at $36/hour and is built out based on experience with a $5000 Hiring Bonus.

Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, educational, and developmental needs and appropriately document findings.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on nursing assessments, medical diagnoses, surgical procedures, and established standards of care.
- Assess and document patient condition and response to nursing and medical interventions, communicating changes to the appropriate members of the care team.
- Assess instrumentation, supply, and equipment needs based on scheduled procedures, patient needs, and physician preferences.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other members of the surgical team to promote positive patient outcomes and a smooth surgical experience.
- Plan and utilize resources efficiently to complete the daily surgical schedule while providing safe, individualized patient care.
- Prepare and provide equipment, instrumentation, and supplies in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the special needs of various age groups when providing care and resources for surgical procedures.
- Communicate pertinent patient information clearly and effectively with physicians, patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Keep the surgical team and appropriate leadership informed of changes in patient status.
- Apply principles of aseptic and sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
- Perform and accurately document counts of sponges, needles, and instruments according to established policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medications used during surgical procedures.
- Reassess, evaluate, and revise the patient’s plan of care as needed throughout the surgical experience.
- Evaluate patients post-operatively for potential injuries related to positioning, equipment, or other surgical hazards.
- Complete patient records, charge documentation, and preference cards accurately and thoroughly.
- Assist with cleaning and preparing the Operating Room between cases and at the end of the day.
- Assist with preparing equipment and supplies for upcoming surgical procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Nursing.
- Current RN license in the State of Nebraska.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least one year of Operating Room experience within the last 3–5 years preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment.
