Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Manager

Schedule: 2–3 shifts per week

Midwest Surgery Center is seeking an experienced and motivated part-time Registered Nurse (RN) Manager to lead and support our perioperative nursing team.

This hands-on leadership position oversees RN staff in the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU/Recovery, and discharge areas while supporting high-quality patient care, staff development, regulatory compliance, and daily clinical coordination.

Schedule & Position Highlights

• Part-time: 2–3 shifts per week
• Hours and shift lengths may vary based on staffing needs
• Overtime pay for hours worked beyond 8 hours per shift

• Hands-on patient care responsibilities as needed

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support RN staff, including OR circulators, Pre-Op, PACU, and discharge nurses
• Coordinate nursing schedules, assignments, and staffing coverage
• Assist with interviewing and selecting RN personnel
• Oversee nursing orientation, competencies, annual evaluations, and ongoing education
• Ensure compliance with ASC policies, infection prevention standards, medication safety, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement, policy review, and accreditation readiness
• Collaborate with physicians and administration to improve nursing workflows and patient outcomes
• Serve as a clinical resource and provide direct patient care when needed

Qualifications

• Current Kansas RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required
• PACU experience required
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
