Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable steel worker to join our team. This role involves erecting pre engineered steel buildings from the ground up and requires experience with structural steel, insulation systems, and metal panels.
Duties
- Erect pre engineered steel buildings from slab to completion
- Operate power tools, hand tools
- Install insulation systems for walls and roof
- Install steel wall panels and roof panels
- Conduct rigging, crane operations, and forklift handling safely to move heavy steel sections or equipment on construction sites or within manufacturing facilities
- Installation of complete building trim packages
- Bolt and connecting steel members structural steel members accurately
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Maintain high attention to detail throughout all phases of work
- Follow all safety standards and job site regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience with steel fabrication or related trades
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and rigging gear
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work at heights and various weather conditions
- Capable of operating forklifts and other heavy machinery safely in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
