Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining a clean, organized, and professional office environment.
Schedule
- Monday 8:30 - 12:30
- Tuesday 7:30 - 12:30
- Wednesday 6:30 - 12:30
- Friday 6:30 - 2
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive experience
- Schedule patient appointments accurately using EHR systems
- Verify insurance coverage and perform eligibility checks (including Medicare and commercial payers)
- Collect and process co-pays, payments, and outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in EMR systems
- Assist with patient intake, including medical history and documentation updates
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism and efficiency
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing office supplies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support scheduling and workflow
- Maintain a clean and organized front office and common areas, including light cleaning and restocking supplies
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or similar administrative role preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems strongly preferred
- Experience with insurance verification (Medicare and commercial plans)
- Strong clerical, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion (HIPAA compliance)
- Experience in a chiropractic or physical therapy setting is a plus
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
