This position is primarily responsible for the daily activities of the shipping and receiving office and it interacts with all staff members and will be required to float between the different activities in the shipping office as customer activity and the needs of the company dictate. - Assign inbound/outbound delivery appointments to on-shift forklift operators
- Utilize WMS systems to allocate loads & manage warehouse inventory
- Manage paperwork flow between shipping & receiving
- Assist with check-in drivers & direct them to a door for unloading/loading
- Assist with removing/placing/verifying seals on trailer doors as needed
- Accurately process paperwork in the computer system
- Ensure proper E-filing
- Ability to work in a range of temperatures
- Ability to read/write in English
- Basic math/computer skills
- Ability to follow & give instructions effectively
- Ability to function & lead effectively in a team & fast paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Strong phone skills/etiquette
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
