Role Description

This is a volunteer role for a Grants Specialist, located on-site in Madison, WI. The Grants Specialist will handle tasks such as researching potential funding opportunities, preparing and writing grant proposals, managing budgets associated with grants, and tracking deadlines and deliverables. The individual will also work closely with the team to align grant applications with the organization’s mission and ensure compliance with funding guidelines.


Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Proposal Writing and Research for identifying funding sources and creating effective applications.
  • Proficiency in Analytical Skills and Budgeting to assess data, prepare budgets, and manage financial aspects of grants.
  • Exceptional Communication skills to collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and potential funders.
  • Detail-oriented with organizational and project management abilities to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and grant management tools is a plus.
  • Passion for empowering women and contributing to community impact initiatives.
