What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging instruction in our Surgical Technology curriculum, connecting classroom learning with real-world operating room experience.
- Guide students through hands-on laboratory activities and practical skill development.
- Demonstrate the proper use of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Teach and reinforce sterile and aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and operating room safety.
- Create a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and professional development.
- Share your knowledge and experience to help students develop the skills and confidence needed for successful careers in surgical technology.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a dedicated professional who combines strong clinical knowledge with a genuine interest in helping others learn.
Required qualifications include:
- At least three years of operating room experience in the scrub role within the five years immediately preceding teaching, or three years of teaching experience in the surgical technology field.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited institution.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and operating room procedures.
- A strong understanding of sterile and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Position: Surgical Technology Instructor
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM-3:30PM
- Pay: Starting at $28.00 per hour
- Location: Midwest Institute, Earth City, Missouri
- Work Setting: In-person, on campus
