Position Summary
Provide instruction to manufacturing technology students. Teach and assess student learning, contribute to department work, engage in professional development and contribute to shared governance obligations including accreditation.
Key Performance Indicators
1.Timely, accurate preparation of syllabi
2.Adhere to department guidelines with use of textbook/materials required
3.Timely, accurate submission of attendance and grade records
4.Timely, accurate submission of assessment findings
5.Engagement in classes on time and for the full allocated time
6.Safety of programs
Essential Functions
1.Teach and assess Elements of Automation, Programmable Logic Controllers, Intro to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Engineering Design and Development, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Digital Electronics and potentially other courses based on instructor credentials and student needs.
2.Report attendance and grades as prescribed by the rules and regulations of the college.
3.Adhere to department guidelines.
4.Maintain a course schedule that clearly covers all department designated learning objectives. Communicate the course schedule with students.
5.Adhere to all campus safety guidelines.
6.Prepare and submit copies of syllabi to appropriate administrator for each class taught.
7.Participate in assessment procedures established by each respective department.

Interpersonal skills:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to plan, organize, coordinate and implement programs, activities, and facilities.
Identify and express problems and develop recommended solutions from alternative methods and procedures.
Ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people.
Ability to organize and express instructions in a logical sequence to describe how something works or explain how to perform a task.
Ability to manage groups of students, including the ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
Technical skills:
Ability to assess student work
Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, at a high-level
Ability to enter and submit attendance and grading using LMS
Education
Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited university or college in Industrial Arts or Industrial Technology Education and 2,000 clock hours of verified occupational experience in the specific trade to be taught; OR 6,000 hours of verified occupational experience in the specific trade to be taught in lieu of bachelor degree; industry certified trainer preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Physical ability to provide technical instruction. Ability to safety operate equipment and monitor student safety which involves reaching in any direction, performing repetitive motions and performing two-handed activities. This position requires sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to fifty pounds, grasping, talking, seeing, hearing and repetitive motion.
