Position Summary
Midwest Hose is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Assistant to support daily warehouse operations. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain. The Inventory Control Assistant will help maintain accurate inventory records, assist with stock organization, and support overall warehouse efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with tracking and maintaining accurate inventory levels
- Perform regular cycle counts and help reconcile discrepancies
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
- Label, organize, and store inventory in designated locations
- Support order picking, packing, and shipping as needed
- Update inventory data in company systems or spreadsheets
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Communicate inventory issues or shortages to supervisors
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel or similar systems preferred)
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
