As a Regional Nurse, you will:

• Assist in the planning, organization and direction of Quality Assurance programs and related activities for all assisted living facilities.
• Assist Facility Department Heads and staff in the evaluation of programs and effect changes as necessary to improve programs and assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide written QA standards and criteria and information to facilitate orientation and in-service training regarding QA policies.
• Act as a reference source for quality assurance issues.
• Assist Facility Departments in developing a plan of action and follow-up procedures for identified problems.
• Assist in the investigation of incidents, injuries, sentinel events, abuse and misappropriation of resident property. Summarize findings and file reports to appropriate staff and agencies.
• Assist in the maintenance of tracking logs, incident and accidents, medication errors etc. and monitor for trends requiring corrective actions.
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies as needed. Assist in reeducation of staff when developing corrective action plans from completed audits or chart reviews.
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Executive Director (ED) and Resident Care Coordinator (RCC), as necessary/required, concerning any problems or deficiencies. Assist the ED and RCC to find resolutions to the problem areas identified.
• Provide on-going monitoring to ensure each facility is consistent in carrying out QA activities and minimize duplication of QA activities. Participate in planning with the ED and RCC for the resolution of problem areas identified by the monitoring process.
• Provide in-service training on an as needed basis.
• Visit facilities on a regular basis for QA compliance monitoring.
• Provide oral and written monthly reports to CEO and Vice President of Operations and Regional Directors concerning QA program.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing forms, writing reports, etc., and submit to the Vice President of Operations, Administrator or appropriate designee as directed.
• Act in capacity of Interim Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) as necessary until the position is filled.
