Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas meet high standards of sanitation and appearance. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning, following all safety protocols and handling procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
- Operate cleaning machinery and tools efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and safe handling at all times.
- Support other team members with general porter duties, including moving supplies or furniture around the premises.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and safety procedures is essential.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners is advantageous.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and facilities maintenance practices is desirable
- Sweep the entire store.
- Dust mop all floor areas.
- Mop the floor edges where the scrubber cannot reach.
- Scrub the floors using the floor scrubber.
- Buff/polish the floors with the propane buffer when scheduled.
- Empty and clean the recovery tank after use.
- Refill clean water and cleaning solution if needed.
- Leave all equipment clean and ready for the next use.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
