What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technician position at MIDWEST EYE CARE PC?
Midwest Eye Care is looking for a SURGICAL TECHNICIAN at our Surgery Center located at 4353 Dodge Street
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Monday – Thursday (6am – 4pm) NO WEEKENDS/NO HOLIDAYS or On Call
Compensation Based on experience.
In this role YOU will:
- Assist in patient care in the operating room.
- Work collaboratively with the entire perioperative team.
- Setting up sterile field for each procedure.
- Planning and discussing each procedure with surgical professionals and assuring that all supplies and equipment are available prior to the surgical procedure.
- Preparing, organizing, and maintaining highly complex sterile surgical set-ups.
- Observing and responding promptly to each stage of the surgical procedure and anticipating the needs of the surgeon by maintaining a high level of concentration for extended periods of time.
- In conjunction with the circulating registered Nurse (RN), performing needle and instrument counts
All candidates must have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passed the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam.
- Prior experience as a Surgical Technician helpful but not required.
Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:
- Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification.
- Successfully complete drug testing.
