What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASC Nurse- Pre/post-op (Full-time) position at MIDWEST EYE CARE PC?
Midwest Eye Care is looking for a REGISTERED NURSE at our Surgery Center located at 4353 Dodge Street
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Monday – Thursday (6am – 4pm) NO WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS or On Call
In this role YOU will:
- Be responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient care.
- Work in pre & post op caring for patients.
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient; responds to emergency situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol.
- Communicate with other surgery center staff, anesthesia care provider and the surgeon to coordinate a safe and comfortable surgical experience. Participates in patient education.
- Responsible for ensuring that the patient understands their post-operative care requirements.
- Observing patient, recording significant incidents; takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.
