JOB DETAILS: FULL TIME, MON - FRI, 1530 START TIME, $28.50 w/HazMat, PAID WEEKLY. MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION/LIFE/401K AFTER 90 DAYS. PTO AVAILABLE
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on assigned local routes
- Lane runs from Duncansville to Midwest's PIT area airport location
- Perform timely pickup and delivery of freight, including local pick-up and delivery (PUD) operations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle maintenance as required by company policy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with loading and unloading freight as needed.
- Follow route schedules to optimize delivery times and maintain service reliability.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- HazMat endorsement preferred
- Ability to operate tractor and trailer combinations.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and follow schedules.
- 2 years tractor driving experience
- no dui's or felonies
Offered compensation: $28.50/hr
