What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety and Quality Supervisor position at Midwest Express, Inc.?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
- Manage daily safety, quality, and delivery documentation and systemic updates.
- Prepare and consolidate customer and executive reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Analyze data to assist in developing trend analysis to root cause and countermeasure completion/implementation.
- Support business plan goal; develop and monitor tasks to ensure goals are achieved.
- Act as department safety and quality representative and assist in investigations related to safety and quality.
- Solve problems and resolve issues and concerns that impact operational performance.
- Ensure consistent and professional communication with the customer at all times.
- Monitor safety and quality results and report as needed; assist in the development of safety and quality related countermeasures.
- Anticipate potential problems and apply solutions and preventative measures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years’ experience leading and motivating teams in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (Preferred)
- Ability to make immediate decisions based on production requirements
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, as well as organizational skills
- Ability to interact professionally within the company and with the customer
- Must be flexible to work different hours as needed by the department/business
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Post-high school education (2- or 4-year degree in Operations Management, Business or related field) or equivalent experience of 2 to 4 years in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, etc. environment
