Role Summary:
The HR Assistant plays a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle while ensuring smooth administrative operations across HR and Accounting. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to support both people-focused and process-focused work. The HR Assistant will handle confidential information, coordinate employee-related tasks, and provide essential administrative support to the Accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Support
- Assist with full-cycle onboarding, including preparing new hire paperwork, collecting documentation, and scheduling orientations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files (digital and physical).
- Support benefits administration by distributing forms, tracking enrollments, and updating employee information.
- Help coordinate training sessions, company events, and employee engagement activities.
- Assist with timekeeping processes by reviewing timesheets, following up with supervisors, and ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare routine HR reports and help maintain HRIS data integrity.
Accounting Support
- Assist with processing vendor invoices, matching packing slips, and routing items for approval.
- Help maintain customer credit limit documentation and support credit application processing.
- Assist A/R with payment processing by gathering required information and preparing batches for review.
- Reconcile receipts and assist with basic month-end tasks as directed by the accounting team.
- Maintain organized financial filing systems and assist with document retrieval.
General Administrative Support
- Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and internal communication.
- Maintain office supplies and support general office operations.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of administrative or HR support experience; accounting support experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with HRIS or accounting software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-company environment.
