Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing and Credentialing Specialist to manage the full revenue cycle process and ensure timely and accurate credentialing for our providers. This is a key administrative role with opportunities to streamline operations and make a significant impact on practice efficiency and reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle:
- Submit accurate claims to insurance companies (electronic and paper)
- Monitor and manage claim denials, rejections, and appeals
- Post payments and reconcile accounts
- Conduct patient billing and collections as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines and coding policies
- Work closely with clinical staff for charge capture and documentation accuracy
Credentialing:
- Complete and maintain credentialing and re-credentialing applications for all providers
- Ensure compliance with CAQH, NPI, and payer-specific requirements
- Track credentialing status and maintain accurate provider records
- Liaise with insurance companies and third-party credentialing services
- Monitor expirables (licenses, malpractice insurance, etc.)
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in medical billing and credentialing (Required)
- Familiarity with Allergy & Pulmonary billing and coding (Preferred)
- Experience with EHR and billing software
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow up proactively
