Job Skills / Requirements
The Inspection Report Specialist is responsible for reviewing inspection reports, looking for accuracy, tracking deficiencies, creating & maintaining summary sheets, & creating inspection binders.
What you’ll be doing:
- Review fire and life safety inspection reports for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and proper documentation of inspection findings.
- Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information and coordinate with inspectors and office personnel to obtain corrections.
- Track fire and life safety deficiencies from initial identification through resolution or closeout.
- Create, maintain, and monitor deficiency tracking logs, inspection summary sheets, and related spreadsheets.
- Prepare and maintain inspection books for large facilities, ensuring all required reports, forms, deficiency documentation, and supporting records are properly organized.
- Monitor inspection schedules, report submissions, outstanding deficiencies, and documentation deadlines.
- Assist with quality control reviews of inspection documentation prior to delivery to clients.
- Perform other reporting, documentation, and administrative duties as required.
What you’ll need:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with office staff, technicians, and customers.
