Job Skills / Requirements
Midwest Alarm Services is currently seeking a Fire Hood Suppression Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire hood suppression systems in commercial kitchens and other facilities.
Pay is based on experience and certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of fire hood suppression systems in commercial kitchens and other facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on fire hood suppression systems, including testing, cleaning, and replacing components as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues with fire hood suppression systems, diagnose problems, and implement necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and other relevant information.
- Provide recommendations to clients for improving fire safety measures and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, building owners, and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with fire safety codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Respond to emergency situations involving fire hood suppression systems and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications or training in fire safety systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of fire hood suppression systems, including installation, maintenance, and inspection procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license
- Must submit to pre-employment background and drug test.
