Midwest Aero Support was founded in Rockford, Illinois, in 1990 by Brent Johnson, a 16-year aerospace veteran who saw a critical need for quick, high-quality, and affordable repairs for regional airlines.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to manage and organize our organization’s day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. You will work closely with the finance manager in handling administrative and bookkeeping tasks that keep the accounting department running smooth.
This position is well-suited for an individual who is strategic, analytical, ethical, and self-motivated This role will report directly to the Finance Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Preparing financial reports, bank reconciliations, and statements according to accounting principles
· Processing transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts
· Maintaining and updating financial records and databases to ensure accuracy and completeness Ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation of sensitive financial information
· Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including maintaining employee records and processing paperwork.
· Front Desk Management: Greet visitors, answer and transfer phone calls, and manage incoming and outgoing mail and emails
· Office Operations: Maintain office tidiness, monitor visitor access, and support colleagues with clerical tasks such as document preparation, approved vendor paperwork
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Strong organizational and computer skills, including familiarity with accounting software such as SAP or other bookkeeping programs
· Ability to reconcile accounts, identify errors, and produce reports
· Professionalism, confidentiality, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to work under supervision or as part of a team
· Proficiency in mathematics and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping
· Previous clerical or administrative experience, preferably in an accounting setting, is advantageous.
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) are essential. Excellent communication and customer service skills are also important.
