Responsibilities
- Lead praise and worship sessions during church services, ensuring a seamless flow of musical expression that aligns with the spiritual message.
- Select appropriate worship music, hymns, and contemporary praise songs that enhance the service and engage the congregation.
- Conduct rehearsals with the church choir and praise team to develop musical proficiency and unity.
- Manage musical liturgical knowledge to incorporate traditional and modern worship styles effectively.
- Mentor team members and praise team volunteers, providing training, guidance, and spiritual encouragement.
- Oversee the management of musical instruments, sound equipment, and related technical aspects to ensure high-quality performances.
- Foster a welcoming environment for new team members by mentoring emerging leaders in musical and spiritual leadership roles.
Experience
- Proven experience conducting praise and worship music in a church or faith-based setting.
- Strong background in church Worship & Praise, reading sheet music, and managing musical productions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop vocal music skills among team members.
- Knowledge of musical instruments such as piano or keyboard is highly desirable.
- Experience managing music teams within a faith-base organizations is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire both team members and congregation alike.
- Familiarity with religious leadership principles, music selection strategies, and managing live musical performances during church services.
