Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas, adhering to food safety standards and safe lifting practices
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing to ensure presentation quality
- Manage heavy lifting requirements for food trays, boxes, and supplies using proper manual handling techniques
- Serve dishes to guests efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and communication skills
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables quickly and resetting them for new guests
- Operate POS systems
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate any special requests or issues
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and proper manual handling techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently follow safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests
- Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, or kitchen operations is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Previous banquet experience or hotel experience is beneficial but not required
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and guest satisfaction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
