Duties
- Conduct thorough diagnostics on boats using automotive and marine-specific tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, engine tune-ups, and system inspections to keep vessels operating at peak performance.
- Repair or replace boat components including engines, propellers, steering systems, brakes, suspension parts, and electrical wiring.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to assemble, disassemble, or modify boat parts with precision.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large engines or boat sections during repairs or assembly.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair status clearly to customers while providing excellent customer service.
- Support sales efforts by explaining repair work performed and recommending maintenance services to clients.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience in automotive or marine repair environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Experience with brake repair, suspension systems, engine assembly, and general automotive repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in physically demanding situations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of automotive or marine electrical systems and troubleshooting skills are a plus.
