Veterinary Technician (experience and technical skills required)

Responsibilities include:

*Maintain efficient workflow. (We use Shepherd Veterinary Software which is AI capable and cloud based)

* Veterinary laboratory testing (in clinic idexx veterinary lab equipment)

*Working alongside our veterinary team to manage medical, surgical and dentistry cases, running a CT scan, and maintaining AAHA standards.

We perform general surgery as well as advanced soft tissue surgery, dentistry and orthopedic surgery and are looking for a dedicated individual to grow with us. We have a new state of the art in house CT, and an in house Idexx Vet Lab Station. We use digital records, digital general and dental radiography.

Shift: Full-time position 7:20 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 4 days a week. You are on a rotation with our other technicians for occasional weekend and evening coverage to care for hospitalized and boarding pets.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience working in veterinary setting.
• Computer literate and highly detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and develop healthy relationships with team members and clients.
• General Animal healthcare knowledge: Pet medical, behavioral and handling basics, vaccination types and protocols, and preventative products.
• High level of maturity, excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to maintain professionalism in the face of stressful situations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend and lift patients and carry supplies/equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Endure sitting for extended periods and standing or walking on hard surfaces for extended periods.
