Responsibilities
- Support engineering planning, analysis, and design for overhead, underground, transmission, distribution, and substation facilities.
- Assist in developing long-range plans, construction work plans, and system studies.
- Perform system modeling, including load flow, voltage analysis, and protection coordination using approved engineering tools.
- Review engineering designs and construction activities for compliance with internal standards, RUS requirements, NESC, and applicable regulations.
- Support protective device coordination (fusing, relaying, sectionalizing, and SCADA integration).
- Provide technical support to Operations during routine work, outages, and emergency restoration efforts.
- Maintain and validate the distribution system model.
Experience
- Experience in electrical utility engineering (distribution, transmission, or substations).
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and best practices in manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and protective device coordination.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
