Experienced Diesel Mechanic
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

We are a well-established fleet maintenance operation specializing in the service and repair of Volvo tractors supporting FedEx and other major transportation partners. Our shop is built on teamwork, reliability, safety, and quality workmanship. We're looking for an experienced diesel mechanic who takes pride in delivering dependable repairs and keeping commercial vehicles operating safely and efficiently.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate has experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 8 trucks, works independently, and is committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced fleet environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel tractors, with an emphasis on Volvo equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
- Troubleshoot engine, electrical, air, brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain systems.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Perform DOT inspections and identify needed repairs.
- Maintain accurate repair records and communicate effectively with the maintenance team.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and compliant with all safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians to minimize fleet downtime.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Minimum age of 21 years old
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL (Required)
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel mechanic experience (fleet or dealership experience preferred)
- Experience working on Volvo tractors is strongly preferred
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues independently
- Own a complete set of mechanic's tools appropriate for the position
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable transportation to Manchester, PA
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Compensation
$30.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
