Responsibilities
- Operate rollback trucks with precision to load, unload, and transport vehicles, machinery, and equipment safely.
- Assist with automotive diagnostics and repair by moving parts and vehicles as needed within the shop or yard.
- Load and unload vehicles using flatbed trucks or tow trucks, ensuring secure placement to prevent damage during transit.
- Manage vehicle recovery operations, including towing and roadside assistance, adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and dispatchers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
- Conduct routine inspections of rollback equipment such as forklifts and tow trucks to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate records of all loads transported, vehicle movements, and service logs for accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, or related automotive repair roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred.
- Skilled in operating manual transmissions, flatbed trucks, tow trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle customer interactions professionally.
- Prior mechanic experience or automotive repair background is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks throughout the shift.
