Job Summary
This position provides administrative support for Special Education across the district.

- Monday - Friday; 40 Hours/Week
- Academic school year (Monday-Friday) 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Summer (Monday-Thursday) 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Holidays and/or breaks determined by the Central Office
- Starting Wage Range: $18.95 - $22.09/Hour

Qualifications And Education
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Education:
- Required: Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. equivalent.
- Preferred: Technical training up to an associate degree is preferred.
- Three years or more of progressive office experience is preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position's essential functions.
- Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Must be efficient with computers, various software applications, and related technologies. Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications is required.
- The ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously is a must.
- Ability to function in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
- Possess sound, independent judgment, including handling of confidential matters.
- Safeguard all district data.
- Preferred knowledge of Special Education compliance laws, both state and federal.
- Payroll for special services itinerant staff.
- Budget maintenance for fiscal accountability and compliance.
- Special services IEP coordination - IEP scheduling, report compiling and distribution.
- Assist with special services pupil accounting.
- Planning and coordination of staff meetings.
- Coordination of special services employee onboarding.
- Creation, maintenance, and training of standard operating procedures.
- Coordination of protocol ordering, subscription, and certification renewals.
- Maintenance of student records and processing of student placements.
- Department website maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Fine motor skills and ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, to lift and move equipment and supplies.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with reasonable accommodations.
- Able to ride in a vehicle, as necessary (e.g., training on occasion).
- Able to work indoors during all seasons/weather/temperatures as permitted.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize work effectively.
- Communicate effectively via district-assigned email daily as determined by the supervisor.
- Accurately complete electronic time sheets and absence reporting via the timekeeping system per assigned deadlines.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Consistent and reliable performance of job responsibilities.
- Perform other job responsibilities deemed appropriate by the supervisor/building administrator and/or Superintendent.
