Maintenance technician

Packaging lines only earn their keep when they run. This role keeps forming, filling, sealing, and material-handling equipment reliable so production meets schedule, waste stays down, and shipments leave on time. You will own the day-to-day health of the machines—not just respond when something stops.

• Restore failed packaging and handling equipment so planned production resumes within the agreed downtime window.
• Complete preventive maintenance on schedule and cut repeat breakdowns on assigned assets quarter over quarter.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults, document root cause, and close the fix so the same failure does not return.
• Keep critical spares, change parts, and tooling ready so line changeovers and repairs are not delayed by missing parts.
• Support safe startups, changeovers, and new or relocated equipment so lines meet speed, quality, and safety standards.
• Log work, parts used, and equipment condition so the team can plan repairs instead of guessing.

• Hands-on role on a small production team in a packaging and industrial machinery operation; you work beside operators and report to the plant or maintenance lead.
• Shop tools, a CMMS or structured work-order log, OEM manuals, and a defined spare-parts crib. No large corporate maintenance staff—your judgment matters.
• Day-to-day work on the floor, with occasional off-shift or weekend coverage when a line is down.

• Proven mechanical troubleshooting on production machinery—packaging, converting, or similar industrial equipment.
• Working knowledge of drives, bearings, belts, pneumatics, sensors, and basic electrical lockout/tagout.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals and turn them into a completed repair.
• Consistent PM completion and clear written work records.
• Safe work habits around moving equipment, guards, and energy sources.

• Direct impact: fewer stops, cleaner changeovers, and lines that hit the schedule.
• Broad equipment exposure in a small plant—not a narrow single-machine assignment.
• Room to shape the maintenance routine while the operation is still building its systems.
• Work tied to real product moving out the door, not a distant support ticket queue.

If you keep machines running and can show the results, apply with a short note on the equipment you have maintained and the breakdowns you have stopped from coming back.
