Position Function/Purpose Daily supervision of all assigned Custodian Staff to assure all custodians follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds. |

Major Responsibilities
1. To manage and direct the work of the custodian staff on the assigned worksite 2. To keep the building and grounds including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean 3. Guards against fire and accident hazards. 4. Keeps operation cost to a minimum without reducing efficiency 5. Helps to prevent property loss that may be caused by abuse 6. Keeps all tools and equipment unserviceable condition. Practice and pursue preventive maintenance 7. Keeps floor clean, waxed, buffed, vacuumed, or extracted 8. Schedule and execute all normal housekeeping operations 9. To keep light bulbs and tubes replaced 10. Report maintenance through proper channels 11. To be responsible for the security of buildings 12. Setting and moving irrigation pipe and sprinklers on campus ground as assigned 13. Keeps the supervisor and principal informed of all developments that affect custodial services 14. Perform such other duties as assigned by Custodial Supervisor or Custodial Trainer

Qualification Requirements The ability to read and write English Ability to properly operate cleaning equipment Lift heavy equipment Proper use of cleaning supplies Operate all custodial equipment Valid Texas Driver License and acceptable driving record; must adhere to Midland ISD’s vehicle safety and use program Pass all training courses |
