Position Summary:
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist , in conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy and pharmacy leadership, in accordance with established policies and procedures, participates in and verifies the medication use process in both the inpatient and outpatient setting to provide the safest and highest quality care for our patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered pharmacist in good standing with the state of Connecticut,
B.S. or PharmD. degree
Good patient, provider and staff communication skills
Strong commitment to working with patients and staff from a wide range of ethnic, economic, cultural and social backgrounds
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to handle internal and external issues in a calm, positive, and professional manner
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency or at least 2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or other specialty
