Middle C Music is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate Voice Instructor to join our growing teaching team!
We are a Northshore-based in-home music school and performing arts studio serving students of all ages and experience levels. We believe music lessons should be both high-quality and genuinely enjoyable, and we're looking for a teacher who can bring that same energy into every lesson.
What You'll Do As a Voice Teacher at Middle C Music: You will provide engaging, individualized voice instruction to students while helping them build confidence, technique, musicianship, and a genuine love of singing.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach private voice lessons to children, teens, and adults.
- Provide instruction tailored to each student's age, goals, ability, and learning style.
- Teach healthy vocal technique, breathing, pitch, tone, diction, and musicality.
- Help students prepare for performances, recitals, auditions, competitions, and other musical goals when appropriate.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and professional lesson environment.
- Maintain consistent communication and professionalism with students, families, and MCM staff.
- Keep students engaged and progressing through thoughtful lesson planning.
- Follow Middle C Music policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Participate in MCM recitals and performance opportunities as appropriate.
- Communicate student progress or concerns to the appropriate MCM staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional teaching environment.

- Passionate about helping students become confident musicians, not simply teaching them songs.
Education & Experience
A degree in music, vocal performance, music education, is required. Professional performance, teaching, or equivalent musical experience is strongly valued.
Experience teaching private voice lessons is preferred.
We welcome experienced teachers as well as talented musicians who have a strong desire to develop their teaching skills.
Schedule
This is a part-time position, with opportunities for additional teaching hours as student enrollment grows.
Lessons may be taught:
- At our Covington studio
- In students' homes throughout our service area
Teacher schedules are developed based on student demand, teacher availability, and MCM scheduling needs.
