- The Program Service Assistant at Midcoast Maine Community Action will play a vital role in supporting the delivery and management of community programs. This position is designed to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations, ensuring that services are provided to meet the needs of the community. The assistant will work closely with program managers and coordinators to facilitate smooth program execution and contribute to the organization's mission of empowering individuals and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of community programs and services.
- Provide administrative support to program managers, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining records.
- Serve as a point of contact for program participants, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
- Help in organizing and facilitating community outreach events and activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation and databases.
- Support the evaluation and reporting of program outcomes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission of Midcoast Maine Community Action.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in social services, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or program support role.
- Experience working in a community action agency or non-profit organization is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
