Responsibilities:
· Follow state, federal, and company policy reviews and the MidCities Pharmacy Code of Conduct at all times. Strictly adhere to the MidCities Pharmacy policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities. Proactively report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty in respect to our Pharmacy policies and procedures concerning pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
· Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Managers and Staff Pharmacists including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information.
· Ensure patient information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct.
· Handle telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
· Follows the designated process flow for smooth operations,(corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner and follow up where necessary.
· Assist and support MidCities Pharmacy on inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing the shipment of pharmaceuticals. Arranging and filing invoices and other documents chronologically for easy retrieval.
· Maintain knowledge of MidCities Pharmacy asset protection techniques, and file claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.
· Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance.
· Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
· Occasional delivery to various facilities closeby.

Education and Experience:
· Candidate must be in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy or be registered as a pharmacy technician in training.
· He or she must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in any RETAIL position.
· Previous call center or mail order experience a plus.
· Valid TX DL
· Bilingual is a plus (English and Spanish).

Currently, this position may be part time, going over to full time. The hours are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm.
