Job Summary:As an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician, you are responsible for helping Pharmacists perform daily tasks to serve customers and helping supervise and train new pharmacy technicians.
This position is full-time and includes a $2,000 signing bonus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
These include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and mentor new pharmacy technicians, ensuring they adhere to protocols and best practices.
- Help provide training on new medications and safety guidelines.
- Ensure accurate preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Manage inventory levels, order medications, and maintain accurate records of stock and supplies.
- Serve as a point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and concerns to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and teamwork.
- Provide support during audits, maintain documentation, and assist in policy development for pharmacy operations.
- Helping, as needed, the retail pharmacies in Sugar Land and Clear Lake via our electronic database services.
Job Requirements
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical inventory management practices and techniques.
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician (at least 3-5 years' experience).
- Ability to lead and motivate a pharmacy team, help manage conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
- Accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a well-organized pharmacy environment.
- Willingness to work weekends and closing shifts.
Proficiency in any of the following languages is highly encouraged:
- Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
