Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately
- Perform repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, and electrical systems with precision
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical problems
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for mechanical repairs such as welding, alignment, and vehicle maintenance
- Maintain detailed records of service procedures, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each vehicle
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction
Experience
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or service technician
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics, and electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with vehicle transmission system repair, powertrain work, and suspension system repair
- Skilled in the use of automotive diagnostic tools and auto estimating software
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
- Strong technical proficiency with automotive electrical systems and wiring diagram interpretation
- Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices
