The Midas Store Manager is responsible for store performance. He or she promotes customer satisfaction and retention and growth of existing and new business. In addition, the Store Manager owns overall operations in terms of cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and safety. He or she provides strong and consistent leadership to cultivate and maintain a harmonious, collaborative, and highly productive work culture.
Responsibilities
As a Midas Store Manager, you will manage and direct automotive and general service technicians in the operation of the shop, including:
- Recruit, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, schedule and coach employees
- Deliver exceptional customer service while listening and consulting customers
- Following up with customers, services requested, estimated completion times, etc.
- Oversee complete vehicle inspections and then make comprehensive recommendations—building computerized repair orders and sourcing parts
- Deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers as well as promoting shop service specials
- Lead, manage, and train team while keeping in tune with our companies’ vision, purpose, core values, and employee creed.
- Oversee technicians’ inspections, diagnosing and repairing of domestic foreign cars and light trucks
- Maintain inventory counts
- Overall cleanliness and organization of the facility, including environmental compliance
- Updating and submitting daily sales reports to central office
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of store or service manager experience
- General automotive knowledge
- Excellent customer service disposition
- Good communication skills
- Strong POS computer and Internet skills
- Leadership ability
- Team-building skills
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including Saturdays.
- Valid driver’s license

Automotive Store Manager Responsibilities:
- Ability to juggle several projects at a fast pace, keeping customers and team members informed and satisfied throughout the process.
- Prepare and process customer requests for service appointments on line, by phone and in person
- Determine customer service needs by listening to performance issues, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules.
- Work with technicians to develop repair orders and estimates, ordering parts, costing materials, supplies and labor.
- Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and time needed to complete, obtaining customer’s approval of estimates, obtaining and providing contact information, answering questions and concerns.
- Offer our customers options that are tailored specifically to their automotive needs.
- Give impartial advice to ensure that our customers are aware of manufacturer recommendations.
- Deliver and discuss pricing estimates and finance options with customers as well as promoting shop service specials.
- Following up with customers, services requested, estimated completion times, etc.
- RO Writer experience a plus.
