You will play a crucial role in recruiting, training, and developing staff while managing inventory and maintaining store standards. Duties
- Lead and manage store operations to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, interview, and train new employees, ensuring effective employee orientation.
- Supervise staff performance and provide ongoing training & development opportunities.
- Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and budgetary responsibilities to maintain financial health.
- Oversee inventory management including ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory control.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as health and safety regulations.
- Handle cash management tasks including cash handling, cashiering duties, and POS operations.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team management.
- Utilize retail math for pricing strategies and sales analysis to drive profitability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager with supervisory experience.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse customers; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and retail POS technology.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in training & development of staff members to enhance team performance.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies relevant to retail sales environments.
