What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Specialist I position at MID-WEST TEXTILE, LLC?
Customer Service & Administrative:
Handle high volume of phone calls and emails.
Track orders, answer questions about shipments, answer billing questions.
Track and maintain specifics related to what is coming in or going out of the company.
Keep electronic and/or paper files accurate and up-to-date.
Track stock and inventory counts.
Responsible for scheduling pick-ups and generating and confirming rate forms.
Maintain up to date quotations from providers.
Responsible for, scanning all documents, naming them accordingly and filing them in their designated folder.
Acts as a contact for brokers and carriers.
Other related duties as assigned by manager.
Outbound / Inbound Shipments:
Examine orders arriving at the dock if needed.
Managing shipping schedules and track shipments details, locations, ETAs to customers.
Serve as liaison with internal teams, raw material suppliers, clients and freight forwarders.
Brokerage Logistics Domestic
Responsible for schedule outbound carriers to pick up customers loads.
Follow up to ensure proper Proof of Delivery from carriers.
Responsible for, completing data entry after the load has arrived to final consignee.
Promptly notify to suppliers and/or customer as necessary of any delays, troubleshoot problems, and develop solutions to mitigate impact on our service level.
Raw Material Inventory Entry
Responsible for completing Data Entry for all the incoming Raw Material.
Track Raw Material Inventory at all times.
Responsible for reporting status of trailers to providers in a daily basis.
Consumables Logistics
Scan orders and track shipments across multiple channels.
Monitoring inventory levels by conducting location validations and stock counts.
Update records to keep control of purchase orders.
Export Logistics
Provide assistance for maintaining logistics planning tasks.
Reconcile Waybill with Sales Orders to maintain shipping records files up-to-date.
Be cross-trained at entry level to assist when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
1 years of direct experience as a Logistics Specialist.
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds is required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and able to problem solve.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
