ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to unprecedented growth in Central Ohio, the Mid-Ohio Water and Sewer District is currently seeking highly motivated, skilled candidates to fill a vacant Plant Maintenance Technician role with the District. Responsibilities include performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance tasks on water and/or wastewater treatment equipment including pumps, electric motors, blowers, valves, gates, piping, sensors, chemical feed systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical devices; inspecting treatment plant equipment; maintaining and repairing building systems and performing grounds maintenance tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Equivalent to a high school diploma with a general knowledge of math and mechanical systems; experience working within a water and/or wastewater treatment plant preferred; possession of an Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Class I Wastewater Collection System operator certification or higher preferred, but not required; minimum Class B Commercial Driver License preferred, but not required; experience working with hand tools and power equipment preferred; experience working with pumps, motors, and electrical systems preferred.
