Meal Site Director (Part-Time)
Reports to: Executive Director
Position Type: Part-Time Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $11.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Meal Site Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Mid-Land Meals congregate and home-delivered meal site located at Dreiser Square Apartments in Terre Haute, Indiana. This position supervises the reconstitution, presentation, and service of meals while ensuring that food safety, sanitation, client service, and program requirements are consistently maintained.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Meal Service & Food Operations
- Oversee meal reconstitution, presentation, and service for client meals.
- Assist with meal service and delivery, as needed.
- Ensure food, equipment, and service areas meet all food safety and sanitation standards.
Client Services & Engagement
- Provide friendly, respectful, and compassionate service to clients, primarily older adults.
- Monitor client participation and well-being and report concerns, as appropriate.
- Help promote the meal program and follow up with clients who cease participation.
- Coordinate monthly nutrition education and support social activities at the site.
Volunteer Supervision
- Supervise, train, and support meal site volunteers.
- Ensure volunteers follow food safety, sanitation, safety, and client service procedures.
Records & Financial Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate meal, attendance, client, and financial records, as required.
- Prepare and make bank deposits for cash donations received.
Pay: $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 16.0 per week
