Summary:
The Office Coordinator is responsible for the operations of the office. These responsibilities include tasks from ordering supplies, administrative support to leadership, assisting with basic finance tasks, through and including stepping to be the first contact for homeless or nearly homeless individuals reaching out to Mid Florida Homeless Coalition for assistance. The Office Coordinator performs a wide range of administrative and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the public contact areas of the agency.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to Executive Director, Program Manager and Finance Manager.
- Order supplies
- Answer phones, set appointments, assist in initial assessments.
- Provide all services in a non-judgmental manner.
- Crisis intervention as necessary.
- Contact homeless individuals via phone to determine continued eligibility.
- Maintain electronic/hard copy filing system.
- Maintain Resource List with eligibility tips included for local service providers.
- Provide information, referrals, linkages/introductions, and advocacy.
- Data entry into HMIS system as required.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Assist with donation receipt and disbursement.
- Assist in reporting, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
- Build strong relationships with community partners to assist clients in achieving goals.
- Network with other agencies, coalitions, and organizations.
- Attend local community partner meetings, all staff meetings and trainings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years of office experience, preferred.
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office, HMIS experience a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exercise mature judgment. Demonstrated good problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Manage a high pressure environment, maintain confidentiality, and regular attendance.
- Demonstrate ability to work with diverse communities.
This position requires: Employment Eligibility Verification (eVerify), reliable transportation, and successful completion of background screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Time spent: sitting, standing, walking, driving, bending, stooping, kneeling
- Ability to lift 20lbs.
- Operate a computer keyboard, firm/strong grasping, and repetitive hand control.
- Ability to complete forms in personal handwriting
- Makes and receives phone calls
- Ability to use copier, fax machine, smartphone and other portable devices.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
