Program Coordinator
Mid-Atlantic Patient Safety Center | Elkridge, Maryland | Hybrid
The Mid-Atlantic Patient Safety Center is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Program Coordinator to support organizational operations and the coordination of MPSC programs, member engagement, educational offerings, webinars, conferences, and communications.
This role is ideal for someone with healthcare experience, strong project coordination skills, and an interest in patient safety, quality improvement, healthcare education, or nonprofit operations.
The position will initially require 3–4 days per week in person at MPSC’s office in Elkridge, Maryland, with 1–2 days remote. Additional remote flexibility may be available over time, with in-person support required for occasional onsite meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will:
- Support day-to-day office operations, including phone and email triage, supplies, calendars, invoices, payments, and meeting logistics.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for members and stakeholders.
- Coordinate webinars, virtual education sessions, speaker logistics, registration, materials, attendee communications, evaluations, and continuing education documentation.
- Maintain and update the Learning Management System, including uploading content and tracking learner participation.
- Assist with planning and execution of MPSC’s annual conference and other in-person events.
- Support marketing and communications efforts, including email campaigns, social media content, promotional materials, and website updates.
- Assist with grant administration, sponsorship support, fundraising activities, and collection of program data and outcomes.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in healthcare or a similar coordination role.
- Strong organizational, communication, project coordination, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience coordinating meetings, webinars, educational programs, or events.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and professionalism.
Preferred:
- Experience in patient safety, healthcare quality, risk management, healthcare education, or nonprofit settings.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems.
- Familiarity with marketing platforms, email campaign tools, or website updates.

Physical Requirements
This role involves regular computer-based work, occasional standing and walking, light lifting up to approximately 25 pounds, and onsite support for meetings and events.
Salary : $58,000 - $69,000
