**Mid America Lodging Group has an available Night Auditor/A Shift position at our Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton in Sterling Heights, MI**
This role requires a 3-day work week, 24 hours weekly. Scheduled shift is 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Audit)/7:00AM-3:00PM (A Shift)
Candidates must reside locally and be ready to assume the role within two weeks of accepting the position.
The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the day’s financial activity, ensuring accurate records, and maintaining front desk operations overnight. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform nightly audit of hotel revenues and daily transactions
- Balance and verify daily financial records, post room charges, and prepare reports
- Check in late arrivals and assist with overnight guest requests
- Monitor building security and perform routine property walks
- Communicate issues or incidents to morning staff and management
- Maintain lobby cleanliness and restock front desk supplies as needed
- Ensure all brand and company policies are followed during shift
- Prepare breakfast setup handoff for morning team
Skills
- Prior night audit or hotel front desk experience preferred
- Strong math and computer skills; knowledge of hotel PMS systems (OnQ is a plus)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight hours
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and available on weekends and holidays
- Able to stand and move around during shift as needed
