Job description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Door Assembly & Fabrication Technician to join our production team. This role involves hands-on assembly, fabrication, and modification of windows, doors, and related components. If you have a background in carpentry, construction, or enjoy working with your hands in a team environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Shift: Monday-Thursday 5 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Pay: $19/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, cut, screw, staple, nail, glue, caulk, and modify wood, metal, and glass materials into door and window units
- Stock inbound materials and load outbound shipments for company and customer vehicles
- Operate a forklift safely and effectively (training and certification provided)
- Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and adhere to all company safety rules (including PPE and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures)
- Assist with inventory counts and tracking
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic knowledge of woodworking and metalworking tools
- Must be able to read and follow written instructions and complete documentation accurately
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Must be able to pass a company-administered forklift test after training
- Prior experience in carpentry, construction, or similar manufacturing environment is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally over 100 lbs)
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and change positions frequently throughout the shift
- Must be comfortable working with hand tools and operating machinery
- Occasional climbing, squatting, and reaching above shoulder height

Qualifications:POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
- Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
- Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
- Must have skills working with basic wood working and metal working tools.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of carpentry or construction a plus.
